No. George R.R. Martin has stated that he does not want the show to catch up to the books. He wants there to be a reason for people to read the books even if they watch the show.

Which Character is Most Like George R
R. Martin?
There is no one character that is most like George R. R. Martin, as he is a complex and multi-faceted person. However, there are certain characters who share some of his qualities.

Finally, Daenerys Targaryen shares with Martin a love of books and a strong sense of justice.
R
Kelly
R. Kelly is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and former professional basketball player. He is credited with helping to redefine R&B and hip hop, earning the nicknames “King of R&B” and “hip-hop’s first billionaire.”
Kelly has been accused of sexual abuse by multiple women, including underage girls. In 2002, he was indicted on 21 counts of child pornography but was acquitted in 2008 after a six-year trial. In 2017, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in 2001.

Martin Himself
Martin Luther was born in 1483 in Eisleben, Germany. His father was a copper miner and his mother a devout Christian. He entered the University of Erfurt at age 17 to study law, but after witnessing a violent thunderstorm, he had a religious conversion and became a monk.
He received his doctorate in theology from the University of Wittenberg in 1512. In 1517, he wrote his 95 Theses condemning the sale of indulgences by the Catholic Church. This act sparked the Protestant Reformation and led to Luther’s excommunication from the Catholic Church.
Luther continued to protest against various practices of the Catholic Church throughout his life. He also wrote many theological works, including On the Bondage of the Will and The Table Talk. His translation of the Bible into German helped spread his ideas throughout Europe.
Luther died in 1546 at age 62.
What Inspired George R
Martin to write the Game of Thrones series
There are a number of things that inspired George R. Martin to write the Game of Thrones series. One was his love of history and fantasy novels, which he had been reading since he was a child.
He was also inspired by the epic films of Akira Kurosawa, as well as medieval tales such as those told in Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. Another big inspiration for Martin was the work of J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Martin said that “Tolkien has been enormously influential on me,” and that “The Lord of the Rings is one of the greatest works of fiction ever written.”
It’s clear that all these sources played a part in shaping Martin’s vision for Game of Thrones. But what may be most interesting is how he took all these disparate elements and wove them into something completely new and original. In doing so, he created a world that is richly detailed and complex, with characters that are fully realized and three-dimensional.
It’s this combination of elements that has made Game of Thrones one of the most popular book series ever written, and has helped it transcend its genre to become a true phenomenon.
R
Kelly
When it comes to R. Kelly, there is no shortage of controversy. The R&B singer has been accused of sexual misconduct multiple times throughout his career, most recently in the form of a disturbing new documentary called “Surviving R. Kelly.”
The six-hour docuseries, which aired on Lifetime last week, details years of alleged sexual abuse by Kelly against young women and girls. In response to the documentary, Kelly’s lawyer issued a statement calling it “a fiction” and “one-sided,” while Kelly himself has remained silent.
Now that the documentary has aired, more people are speaking out about the allegations against Kelly.
One of those people is John Legend, who appears in “Surviving R. Kelly” and speaks candidly about the singer’s history of abuse. In an interview with Variety this week, Legend said he felt a responsibility to participate in the docuseries because “these stories cannot be ignored.”
“I think we’re finally starting to listen to these survivors and believe them,” Legend said.
“And I think that’s important — especially when it comes to black women and other marginalized groups who have historically not been believed when they come forward with these types of accusations.”
Legend also spoke about how difficult it was to hear some of the stories featured in “Surviving R.Kelly,” but that he feels it’s important for people to understand what allegedly happened.
“It was hard to watch at times because you just can’t imagine somebody going through that,” he said.
Martin to Write A Song of Ice And Fire
It’s been over twenty years since George R.R. Martin first published A Game of Thrones, the first book in his now world-famous A Song of Ice and Fire series. Since then, the books have spawned a hugely successful television adaptation, merchandise empire, and legions of dedicated fans (myself included). It’s safe to say that Martin has changed the face of fantasy literature forever.
But how did he come to write such an epic story in the first place? In a recent interview, Martin revealed some interesting details about his process for creating A Song of Ice and Fire. Here are five things you probably didn’t know about how George R.R. Martin wrote A Game of Thrones:
1. The idea for the series came to him in a dream
This is perhaps the most well-known fact about Martin’s writing process – that the entire series was inspired by a dream he had back in 1991. In the dream, he saw “a castle on a cliff by the sea” and “a giant wall of ice,” which eventually became Castle Black and The Wall respectively.
He woke up from the dream with the phrase “A Song of Ice and Fire” going through his head, and knew immediately that he had to write it down.
