-What Inspired You to Write Black Obsidian

I was always interested in the supernatural and the paranormal growing up. I used to love reading scary stories and watching horror movies. When I started writing, I naturally gravitated towards writing stories with a dark or suspenseful element to them.

Black Obsidian was inspired by my love of all things creepy and my desire to write a story that would keep readers on the edge of their seats. I wanted to create a unique world for Black Obsidian, one that combined elements of both our world and a parallel dimension that exists alongside it – a place where demons and other dark creatures reside. The idea of good vs. evil is something that has always fascinated me, so I wanted to explore that in my book as well.

As for the characters, I drew inspiration from people (and even animals) I’ve known throughout my life. Some of the traits and characteristics might be based off someone I know, but the character as a whole is entirely fictional. Writing Black Obsidian was an incredible journey and I had so much fun creating this world and these characters.

It’s been gratifying hearing from readers who have enjoyed the book and who are eager for more stories set in this world.
