What Inspired You to Write Blood of Shadows
I’ve been interested in vampires since I was a teenager. I read all the classics – Dracula, Carmilla, and so on – and loved them. But I always felt there was something missing.
Where were the female vampires? Why were they always either evil seductresses or tragic victims? And why were they always written by men?
I decided to write my own vampire novel, one that would feature a strong, complex female vampire protagonist. Blood of Shadows is the result. My goal was to create a vampire character who was neither good nor evil, but somewhere in between – a shade of gray, as it were.
Someone who had to make difficult choices and live with the consequences.
It wasn’t easy, but I’m very proud of the result. Blood of Shadows is a dark, atmospheric book that I hope will send chills down your spine.
If you’re looking for a different kind of vampire story, one that breaks away from the traditional mold, then this is the book for you.
What Sets Blood of Shadows Apart from Other Young Adult Fantasy Novels
When it comes to young adult fantasy novels, there are a lot of great ones out there. However, Blood of Shadows stands out from the rest for a few reasons.
First, the author, J.A.Redmerski, does an amazing job of world building.
The world that the characters inhabit is incredibly detailed and realistic. This makes it easy for readers to get lost in the story and feel like they are part of the world themselves.
Second, the characters are incredibly well-developed and relatable.
The reader gets to see them grow and change throughout the course of the novel, which makes for a very engaging read.
Third, the plot is fast-paced and exciting. There is never a dull moment in Blood of Shadows as the characters face one challenge after another.
This makes it impossible to put down!
All in all, Blood of Shadows is an exceptional young adult fantasy novel that should not be missed!
What are Some of the Challenges You Faced While Writing This Novel
One of the challenges I faced while writing this novel was making sure that the plot made sense. I wanted to make sure that there were no loose ends and that everything fit together nicely. Another challenge was making sure the characters were likable and believable.
I didn’t want readers to get frustrated with them or feel like they weren’t realistic.
How Did You Come Up With the Idea for the Shadow World And Its Inhabitants
I’ve always loved the idea of a world that exists in shadow, where creatures lurk in the darkness and prey on the unwary. I wanted to create a world that was both dangerous and beautiful, where people were forced to confront their fears in order to survive.
The Shadow World is home to all sorts of creatures, from deadly vampires to powerful witches.
It’s a place where anything is possible and where the line between good and evil is blurred. I wanted readers to be able to explore this world and its inhabitants, and to make their own decisions about who they could trust.
What was Your Favorite Part About Writing Blood of Shadows
There are many things I enjoyed about writing Blood of Shadows, but if I had to narrow it down to just one favorite part, it would be creating the characters. I love getting lost in a good book, and when I’m writing, I get to do that every day. It’s so much fun coming up with new personalities and exploring their motivations and backstories.
And watching them grow and change throughout the course of the story is immensely satisfying.

Conclusion
In Blood of Shadows, Robin Wasserman tells the story of a world inhabited by vampires and humans who are struggling to coexist. The vampires are divided into two factions: the Bloods, who believe that they should be able to live freely among humans, and the Shadows, who think that humans are nothing more than food. When a vampire named Simon is born with the ability to see the future, he is recruited by the Bloods to help them find a way to peace.
But as Simon’s powers grow, so does the danger he faces from both sides.
